Rituals, Flavours and Stories of Lapland
The traditions of Lapland are experienced through warmth and cold, food and fire, seasonal celebrations and the quiet hospitality of the North.
Arcora’s Northern Traditions invite guests into carefully chosen settings — beside a frozen lake, around the glowing fire of a wilderness kota or inside a hidden forest cabin. Finnish sauna culture, northern flavours and intimate Christmas experiences are presented as living traditions rather than performances.
Some moments are shared in small groups, while others unfold entirely in private. Each experience is designed to feel personal, atmospheric and deeply connected to the culture and rhythms of Arctic Lapland.
Exclusive Arctic Sauna Experience
One evening each week, Arctic Sauna World is reserved exclusively for Arcora guests.
The experience begins at Arcora, followed by a short transfer to the lakeside sauna world. Upon arrival, a dedicated sauna host welcomes the group with opening drinks at the ice bar and introduces the traditions, rituals and contrasts of Finnish sauna culture.
Guests are invited to move freely between five concept saunas inspired by the elements and stories of Finnish folklore. Each offers its own atmosphere, temperature and relationship with the surrounding landscape — from the softer humidity of Vellamo Water Sauna to the more intense heat of Ukko Fire Sauna.
Traditional birch whisks, moments of rest, warm and cold contrasts, a jacuzzi and the possibility of ice swimming allow the evening to unfold at an unhurried pace.

The open fire becomes part of the experience itself, bringing warmth, atmosphere and depth to each course. Carefully selected wines and accompanying drinks can be paired throughout the evening, allowing the dinner to unfold naturally around one shared table and the glowing fire.
