The name
A tribute to transformation, balance and renewal: to the quiet power of nature and the rhythm that shapes life in the Arctic. Each dish is a dialogue between fire and frost, wilderness and refinement.
The room
Restaurant 8 sits on the second floor. Large windows open towards the national landscape of Muonio and the fells of Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park. The room is laid out so that the view is part of the table, not behind it.
Culinary Vision by Arto Rastas
Arcora’s culinary world is created together with Arto Rastas, one of Finland’s most versatile chefs and restaurateurs. His work spans restaurants, culinary education, consulting, media projects, food events and recipe development, always with a strong respect for ingredients, technique and the emotion of the dining moment. He has also represented Finland as a member of the Finnish National Culinary Team.
The daily gastronomic work and practical implementation of the Restaurant 8 concept are led by Sampsa Turtiainen, whose strong local knowledge and expertise in northern ingredients root the experience firmly in Lapland.
Arcora’s wider restaurant and beverage operation is coordinated by Food & Beverage Manager Jani Kettunen.

In the lakeside village of Torassieppi, Muonio – a place where reindeer have roamed for centuries.

Arcora lies next to the pristine wilderness of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, surrounded by forests, fells, and silence.
The closest airport is Kittilä (65 km, about 50 minutes by car) with regular domestic and international connections. Another option is Enontekiö Arctic Airport in Hetta (85 km, about 60 minutes by car), located north of Arcora. From either direction, your journey leads straight into the heart of Lapland’s nature.
