Snowmobiling to the Rhythm of the Wilderness
A snowmobile journey through the wide winter landscapes surrounding Arcora, shaped around scenery, silence and an unhurried connection to the wilderness.
Departing directly from Arcora, the route leads across frozen lakes, through snow-covered forests and towards the open fell landscapes of northern Lapland. Rather than focusing only on speed or distance, the experience follows the natural rhythm of the terrain and the changing conditions of the day.
Along the way, there is time to pause within the landscape, take in the surrounding views and hear stories about Arctic nature and life in the North. Warm wilderness refreshments are served during the journey before the route continues quietly back towards Arcora.
The safari is carefully guided and designed to offer a comfortable introduction to snowmobiling while still creating a genuine sense of movement and freedom within the Arctic landscape.

Husky Safari Experience
A quiet encounter in motion, shaped by the shared rhythm of huskies, winter nature and the open Arctic landscape.
The experience begins at Arcora, where guests travel by snowmobile sledge through the winter scenery towards a nearby husky farm. Upon arrival, the excitement of the dogs and the anticipation of the journey introduce guests to one of Lapland’s most iconic ways of travelling.
The husky safari leads through snow-covered forests, across frozen lakes and into open fell landscapes. As the sled begins to move, the sound of the runners, the rhythm of the dogs and the surrounding silence gradually replace any sense of hurry.
The journey is intentionally unhurried, allowing time to experience the changing light, the stillness of the landscape and the unique connection between the dogs and their surroundings. After the safari, there is time to thank the huskies, learn more about life at the farm and, when possible, meet the next generation of sled dogs before returning to Arcora.

Reindeer Safari Experience
A culturally rooted journey into the living reindeer-herding traditions of northern Lapland.
The experience takes guests to a private, family-owned reindeer estate connected to Arcora’s founding family. Here, reindeer herding remains part of everyday northern life, shaped by the landscape, changing seasons and traditions passed between generations.
Stories of the land, the animals and the northern way of life are shared naturally through the experience itself — not as a performance, but as living heritage.
Guests have time to meet and feed the reindeer before travelling slowly through the quiet winter scenery in a traditional reindeer-drawn sleigh. The gentle pace of the animals allows the surrounding landscape and silence to become an essential part of the journey.
After the estate visit and safari, guests return to Arcora for lunch and a slower afternoon.

Two Peak Snowmobile Experience
A longer snowmobile journey into the open landscapes surrounding Arcora, created for guests seeking a deeper and more immersive Arctic adventure.
The route leads across frozen lakes, through remote winter terrain and towards the peaks of Särkitunturi and Olos. As the journey moves into higher elevations, the landscape opens into wider fell views with fewer traces of surrounding activity.
The pace remains controlled and unhurried, allowing time to stop for photographs, local stories and moments of stillness within the open scenery. A warm lunch is served during the journey before the route continues through the winter landscape and returns to Arcora later in the day.
With greater distance, changing terrain and uninterrupted views, the experience offers a more expansive sense of freedom in northern Lapland.

Wilderness Ice Fishing Experience
A traditional Arctic winter experience shaped by silence, open landscapes and the slower rhythm of life on a frozen lake.
The journey begins at Arcora, where guests meet their guide before departing by snowmobile sleigh into the surrounding wilderness. Travelling through snow-covered forests and across frozen terrain, the route leads to a remote fishing location away from everyday distractions.
On the lake, guests are introduced to traditional Finnish ice fishing and invited to try their luck beneath the frozen surface. While the group fishes, the guide prepares an open fire and serves warm drinks with small sweet treats in the winter surroundings.
More than the catch itself, the experience is about crisp winter air, the sound of ice beneath the snow and the quiet atmosphere that defines the North.
Out on the frozen lake, silence becomes part of the experience.

National Park Snowshoeing
A slower journey into the silence and scale of protected Arctic wilderness.
After a short scenic transfer from Arcora, the experience continues on snowshoes through Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park. Open fells, snow-covered forests and untouched winter landscapes create one of Finland’s most remarkable natural environments.
Snowshoes make it possible to move beyond ordinary winter routes and into quieter terrain shaped by deep snow and changing Arctic conditions. The pace remains calm and unhurried, allowing time to notice the sounds, textures and stillness of the surrounding landscape.
Along the route, the guide shares stories of local nature, seasonal change and the relationship between the people of Lapland and the land itself. Created for guests seeking a deeper connection to Arctic nature beyond traditional sightseeing.

The closest airport is Kittilä (65 km, about 50 minutes by car) with regular domestic and international connections. Another option is Enontekiö Arctic Airport in Hetta (85 km, about 60 minutes by car), located north of Arcora. From either direction, your journey leads straight into the heart of Lapland’s nature.
With a private helipad on site, Arcora can be reached directly, allowing the journey to continue in your own time and at your own pace.
