Accessibility statement

This website partially meets the WCAG 2.1 level AA requirements. The known shortcomings are listed below under Non-accessible content. We are working to correct them.

• All pages, menus and forms can be used with a keyboard, and the element in focus is shown with a clearly visible outline.
• The mobile menu and the image viewers can be closed with the Esc key.
• Images have text alternatives; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Pages have a logical heading structure, and the page language is defined for assistive technology.
• The layout adapts to small screens and to zooming up to 400% without content being lost or needing horizontal scrolling.
• If you have set your device to reduce motion, image slideshows do not change automatically and animations are minimised.
• The fields of the enquiry form have visible labels.

The following content does not yet fully meet the requirements:

• Colour contrast: some small text, such as section labels, section numbers and room details shown in gold on the dark background, and some small grey text (such as dates and footer notes), has a contrast ratio below the required 4.5:1. The light text on the orange Reserve and Book your stay buttons also falls below this ratio. (WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum))
• Moving content: the image slideshows on the package and experience pages change automatically every six seconds and have no separate pause button. They stop as soon as you change the image yourself, and they do not move at all if your device is set to reduce motion. (WCAG 2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide)
• Newsletter sign-up: the e-mail field of the newsletter form has no visible label; its purpose is shown only as placeholder text inside the field. (WCAG 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions)
• Skipping repeated content: there is no "Skip to main content" link at the top of the pages. Keyboard and screen reader users can move past the menu using the page headings and regions. (WCAG 2.4.1 Bypass Blocks)
• Small controls: the dots below the image slideshows on the experience pages are small and close together, which can make them hard to tap. The same images can also be changed by swiping. (WCAG 2.2: 2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum))

Online room reservations are made in a separate booking service (book.arcora.fi) provided by a third party. This statement does not cover the booking service, nor other external services linked from this website, such as videos on YouTube or the websites of our partners. If you have difficulty using the booking service, please contact us and we will help you make your reservation by e-mail or phone.

This statement was prepared on 27 October 2026. The assessment was a self-assessment carried out by the website developer. Key pages of the website were tested with an automated accessibility checker (axe-core, WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules), and the use of the website was checked manually with a keyboard, with reduced-motion settings and on mobile screen sizes.

This statement will be reviewed whenever the website changes significantly, and at least once a year.
