Arcora Reindeer Safari Experience

Reindeer have roamed here for centuries – an experience where past and present meet

A unique visit to an authentic reindeer homestead, where life beats to Lapland’s rhythm and reindeer herding has remained for centuries both a source of pride – and above all, a way of life. The experience begins at Arcora’s yard: your guide leads the group to the reindeer estate, also owned by Arcora’s founders. Personal to us – and therefore so unique.

You’ll be welcomed and hear the honest, unhurried story of the place’s history and daily life. Visit Ilmari’s cottage and set off on a reindeer safari through fell scenery, along quiet paths and meaningful pauses – at the pace set by reindeer steps.

Feed the reindeer and capture the moment – if it feels right. Then return to Arcora. A warm lunch awaits, and if you wish to linger, a steaming drink in the Lobby Bar invites you.

For whom: Those who want a respectful, authentic, unhurried encounter with reindeer in their true environment. Suitable for all ages – a memorable way to understand Lapland’s culture and everyday life.

This isn’t a show – it’s Lapland life as it is.

Arcora Nature Park Snowshoeing Experience

Snowshoeing in a national park – where Lapland’s wild heart beats with the seasons

Most Arcora experiences start at the Arcora’s door – but this one’s an exception, for good reason. The destination is Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park, its peaks and quiet valleys already been visible from Arcora’s windows.

Your guide collects you from the lobby; a calm bus ride heads for Pallas. En route you’ll hear about local nature, its meaning to the people here – and why this area is protected.

On site you’ll be equipped with snowshoes and set out with the guide to explore untouched terrain that’s inaccessible without special gear. We move softly, quietly, listening to nature’s rhythm – in places where silence is present. The guide shares stories; we pause for views, photos, and presence.

After the trip, return to Arcora where lunch awaits. Finish with a hot drink in the Lobby Bar if you wish.

An adventure for those wanting to step into Lapland’s postcard landscapes – for real, not from a trail.

Arcora Husky Safari Experience

Toward Arctic silence on a Husky sled – directly from Arcora

A husky safari is one of Lapland’s most iconic experiences – but at Arcora it is more: a connection to animal, nature, and a moment where hurry disappears. The experience begins at Arcora: your guide leads the small group by snowmobile sledge to a nearby husky farm.

On arrival, the guide provides a safety briefing and introduces the huskies and life at the farm. Sleds are assigned and off you go – across fell edges, over frozen lakes, and along quiet forest trails. Along the way, we pause at storytelling places – to take photos, breathe, and listen to the guide’s tales.

At the end, you can thank your team and meet the puppies. Return to the hotel where a warm lunch awaits.

For whom: Those seeking an authentic, unhurried husky safari without crowds. At Arcora, animals are part of the story, not a prop. Also suitable for first-timers.
